Acts of Love Homecare Corporation is registered as a Nonprofit Non Stock Corporation, with Board of Directors. Tax Exempt Status Under 501(C)(3) of The Internal Revenue Code. Our two founders, Deborah Jones and Sandra Martin came together as co-founders with equal passions as our Board of Directors for helping seniors and those with disabilities.
MISSION
Improving quality of life for low to moderate income seniors and the disabled to stay in place at home by providing the temporary funding for needed non-medical services during times of hardship which can happen suddenly and unexpectedly.
VISION
Our world vision is for seniors and the disabled to live safely at home stress and worry free of funding for non-medical services and be treated with dignity, empathy and respect.
Deborah Jones, BSN, RN, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and President
Deborah has worked and volunteered (food pantry, blood drives, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walks, etc.,) helping and assisting Seniors and the Disabled for over 30 years or more. Her passion for helping those who need it most, comes from her own experiences of family members, friends and the many people she has met over the years, who needed some type of trusted help. Deborah listened to the concerns of those who had to pay out of pocket for non-medical homecare services for family members or themselves. She knows the importance of being at home, helps in healing, especially when unexpected hardships or events happen to our Seniors and the Disabled. Deborah knows there is a need for Funding and that we all may need help at some point in our life when we least expect it.
Sandra Martin, Co-Founder, Vice President, Treasurer
Sandra has worked in Long Term Skilled Nursing Facilities and Homecare for over 40 years. She knows that when providing long term care for a resident, that Long Term care (permanent resident) is usually not covered by certain insurances but Skilled Nursing Care is usually covered. Sandra understands the importance of the needed Funding to help keep our Seniors and the Disabled Safe within their Home for those who choose to stay in place. She has a passion for working with Seniors and the Disabled in Homecare and this passion has given Sandra a New Appreciation of our Aging Population to ensure that our Seniors and the Disabled have the Financial Funding for Non-Medical care to live with dignity and respect safely within their Home.
Carla Abbott, Secretary of the Board
Carla has worked over 20 years in Dietary Services for Seniors and the Disabled in Nursing Homes, Residential Homes and various Corporations. Her Leadership skills include overseeing the production of all food served from the kitchen to patients, guest and personnel. Carla understands appropriate nutrition care are important for Seniors and the Disabled to Thrive at Home.
Arkeda Adams, RN, Chairwoman of the Board
Arkeda has worked in healthcare for over 15 years. Arkeda takes pride in assisting with the Geriatric Population. In 2020, she began working Travel assignments to Hospitals in the United States and has since learned the multitude of needs in the Low Income Communities. Arkeda is here to Brainstorm with the wonderful Acts of Love team to provide better Funding and Assistance for our Seniors and the Disabled within our Communities.
Joani Worthy, BS Religion, Board Member
Joani excels as transformational speaker, new thought minister, healer and coach; working with people who find themselves struggling with physical pain and unresolved mental and emotional issues. She has spent the last two decades helping others achieve their goal of well-being by identifying the pain points, blocks, or obstructions causing the physical/emotional imbalance. As founder of Inner Work LLC., she believes all healing starts from within, and the manifestation of it will be expressed. Joani studies in the Science of Mind as a Certified Reiki Master, Energy Healer, Life and Relationship Coach. She has also served as Pastor W.O.F.M. and Chaplain for Cleveland, Ohio’s Sheriff Department.
Kimley Mitchell-El, Board Member
Kimley Mitchell-El is a Chief Operations Officer & C0-Founder of a Technology Consulting Company. She has over 15 years of proven talent for aligning business strategy and objectives with established operations management and project planning paradigms to achieve maximum operational impacts with minimum resource expenditures. Kimley is a Growth-focused thought Leader with a strong background in creating and enhancing technical architecture, automatic business processes, and leading diverse individuals.
