As long as there are Seniors and those with Disabilities who want to maintain living at home safely, there will always be a need to cover costs for non medical homecare services for those who need it most.
  • Applicants must be residents of Ohio and live in Cuyahoga County
  • Screening qualifications require residents to be 60 and older for seniors and 18 and older for disabled
  • Income is based on providing appropriate temporary funding for no more than up to a maximum of 6 weeks or less
  • For those who do not qualify for Medicaid and Medicare Supplemental Insurance and/or any other forms of insurance which does not cover emergency needed non-medical homecare services.
  • Funding for low to moderate income individuals whose income does not allow for Medicaid and/or
  • Income can be up to a maximum of $52,423 per Household. The U.S. Census Bureau (2021), documents Cuyahoga County, Ohio household median income at $51,741
  • Applicants’ eligibility must show an emergency need for temporary financial assistance for unmet needs during financial hardship, using the (Barthel Index (BI) used for measuring the functional status of BADL score) and
  • The Functional Activities Questionnaire (FAQ) score studies of normal aging for assistance for non-medical home care
  • Limited number of applicants accepted yearly
